About this book
The book is about Margaret, a young girl in 1912, who writes a letter describing her memories of a summer when the dippers came up from the Don River. In her letter, she recounts meeting her father for the first time, her mother's concern about losing her job as a maid, and her little sister's illness. The story is told through this handwritten letter.
