Description

The Crim family is a clan of notoriously incompetent criminals, including Uncle Knuckles, who attempted to steal a carnival, and Great-Uncle Bernard, who accidentally held himself hostage. Imogen, the youngest member of the family, possesses a natural talent for mischief and scandal that sets her apart from her bumbling relatives. When the family is wrongly accused of a crime, Imogen must use her criminal skills to clear their names.

Quick Summary

In The Crims, Kate Davies serves up a hilarious crime caper where the world's most incompetent criminal family gets framed, and the only person smart enough to save them is their reluctant kid prodigy who has to use all her covert skills to prove everyone wrong. Kids will giggle at the absurdly disastrous heists, root for the underdog heroine, and cheer as she outsmarts bumbling cops and rival criminals while dragging her ridiculous relatives along for the wild ride. If your kid likes wacky family dynamics and clever kid heroes, they'll devour this like they did Ally Condie's Matched or Lincoln Pea's Captain Underpants series. Perfect for kids ages 9-12 or in grades 4-7 who love humor with a side of mystery.
