If your kid loves Frozen, this one hits different Anna and Elsa actually get to compete in the Arendelle Cup, this huge 150-mile sleigh race, and watching them work together (and occasionally bicker like sisters do) is genuinely fun to read. The story has enough twists to keep emerging readers turning pages, but it's short enough that a confident second or third grader can finish it in a couple of sittings without getting overwhelmed. There's a nice message tucked inside about teamwork and not giving up when things get tough, but it never feels preachy it's woven into the race action in a way that clicks. Younger readers in kindergarten or first grade will need some help with the longer words scattered throughout, but the fast pace and Disney familiarity keep them interested. Parents should know there's a genuinely exciting climax during the race that might have kids on the edge of their seats, but nothing too scary just good stakes that make you root for the characters. Think of it as a perfect bridge book for kids who are ready to move past picture books but still want that familiar comfort of their favorite characters.
