The Wise Boy

Chief Wusuri is a wise boy who travels throughout his village looking for problems to solve. When a man's cornbread is stolen, the Chief feels he has let his village go hungry. He solves this problem by ordering his men to fetch cornmeal from the storehouse and make enough bread for everyone to share. The book includes story coaching activities and a note to caregivers, and teaches social and emotional learning concepts such as problem solving, community, and leadership.
