How Do You Spell Geek?

Best friends Kimberly and Ann both dream of qualifying for the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., knowing that eighth grade is their last chance. When Ann is assigned to sponsor new student Lurlene Brueggemeyer, she discovers that Lurlene is an exceptionally talented speller. The arrival of this new student puts Ann's friendship with Kimberly and their competition chances to the test as all three girls prepare to compete against each other for the spelling bee prize.
