About this book
In Paradise, Pennsylvania, Annie Zook, the eldest daughter of an Old Order Amish preacher, faces a difficult choice as she approaches the age when she must decide whether to join the church. Though she has already turned down a chance at marriage, her deepest passion is for art a talent that clashes with the community's plain ways. As she wrestles with family expectations and her own dreams, Annie must find a way to honor her faith while still expressing her creative spirit.
