Description

The standout moment has to be when Flinch has to shrink down and literally enter a villain's brain, which is equal parts gross and exciting in that way kids find irresistible. It's the fourth book in the series, but it works fine as a standalone if you're just dipping in. Parents will appreciate that it's genuinely funny and full of friendship themes, though there's a bit of mild scariness with the virus stuff nothing too intense, but enough to give kids a thrill. If your kid enjoys this, they'd probably also like the "How to Be a (stuff)" series or anything by James Patterson's Middle School books, since they share that same energy of silly plots with short, fast-paced chapters that keep reluctant readers turning pages.
