On My Way to the Bath

In this picture book, a young girl named Livi uses her imagination to dodge the inevitable call to take a bath, picturing herself battling a snake, ruling a kingdom, and escaping quicksand. Each fantastical scene becomes a delay tactic while her mother waits with bubbles ready. The story follows Livi as she weaves one wild adventure after another, trying anything to stay out of the tub. By the end, she finally steps into the water, having turned the ordinary routine into a grand, imaginative quest.
