A Tinfoil Sky

Twelve-year-old Mel and her mother Cecily experience homelessness, moving between shelters, their car, and the apartment of an abusive man. When Cecily decides to return to her childhood home, Mel hopes her grandmother will provide the security and love she has been longing for, only to discover her grandmother is not the welcoming figure she imagined. The local library becomes Mel's sanctuary as she navigates the challenges of forgiveness and the difficulty of finding a true home.
