About this book
In this retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen," sixteen-year-old Kai, a serious young man, confesses his love to his best friend Grace, a free-spirited girl he has grown up with. When Grace rejects him and pushes him away, Kai becomes drawn to the magical Snow Queen, who entices him to leave his home and follow her to a distant, icy kingdom. The story explores themes of friendship, rejection, and the allure of magic.
