About this book
Meet the bottlenose dolphins that have been trained by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to protect waterways. The story explains how the animals learn to locate underwater mines and spot enemy swimmers, using their natural sonar and agility. As the dolphins practice commands with their trainers, readers see the teamwork that makes these missions possible. The book gives a clear, simple overview of how military dolphins work and why they are valuable to the armed forces.
