Enclave

In Enclave, Deuce, a fifteen-year-old Huntress in post-apocalyptic underground New York City, is assigned to partner with Fade, a mysterious Hunter who once lived above ground. Together, they discover that neighboring enclaves are being attacked by increasingly organized tunnel monsters called Freaks, but the elders dismiss their warnings. The book follows their struggle to survive in a world where life expectancy rarely exceeds the early twenties.
