About this book
In this gentle picture book, young Yasmin spends a visit with her grandmother in the Middle East and discovers the practice of Muslim daily prayers. She is awakened by the muezzin's call and watches her grandmother pray, receiving a prayer rug and special prayer clothes. Throughout her stay, the grandmother teaches her the five daily prayers, sharing the meaning behind each one. When Yasmin returns home, her grandmother gives her a gift that reminds her of the prayers and the bond they share.
