Description

The story follows a first-grade girl who dislikes reading and refuses to join her classmates in the school library. Her enthusiastic librarian, Miss Brooks, persistently tries to spark the girl's interest by recommending various books. Eventually, the girl discovers a particular book that captures her imagination and changes her attitude toward reading.

Quick Summary

Miss Brooks, the wackiest librarian ever, uses costumes, goofy voices, and pure enthusiasm to try to turn a book-hating first-grader into a reader, and her over-the-top approach is absolutely hilarious. Kids will crack up at the funny back-and-forth between stubborn Missy and her determined librarian, especially when Missy tries every trick to avoid reading but keeps getting pulled into story time. If your kid loves "The Book With No Pictures" by B.J. Novak or enjoys watching characters resist then embrace the magic of books, they'll adore this. Perfect for kindergarten through second graders, especially kids who think reading is boring until they discover the right book.
