Quick Summary
If you know a kid who loves spooky mysteries mixed with real middle school drama, this one's right up their alley. Kendall's ghost-hunting crew has become the coolest group in town, which sounds awesome until you're dealing with a jealous rival and the messy complications of a new relationship all while trying to actually catch some ghosts. The plot moves at a fun, fast pace and balances laughs with genuinely creepy moments that kept me turning pages. Parents should know there's some profanity scattered throughout, so it's probably best for the older end of the middle grade range. Fans of series like "Greenglass House" or books that mix humor with light horror will find plenty to like here, and since it's book two, there's a satisfying continuation of character arcs if they end up wanting to start from the beginning.
