Watching Jimmy

Carolyn's best friend Jimmy suffers a brain injury in an accident she knows was actually orchestrated by his uncle's brutal "lesson." As she cares for Jimmy and keeps the secret about how he was really hurt, she must weigh the dangers of revealing the truth against the loyalty she feels for her friend. The narrative follows the strained dynamics of family, fear, and the difficult choice between silence and honesty. Through Carolyn's eyes, readers see the painful realities of violence and the heavy burden of a hidden secret.
