Description

While chasing the Quicksilver Gang, the Space Cops see something strange on their radar screen. It's a machine, and it's bigger than a planet. When the Space Cops investigate, they discover that the universe's most evil leader is at the controls.

Quick Summary

Bowkett's "Space Cops" is a zippy, laugh-out-loud sci-fi romp that throws a rag-tag team of intergalactic police into a race against a gigantic, planet-sized machine run by the universe's most notorious villain. The story is packed with witty banter, absurd gadgets, and a steady stream of quick jokes, making it perfect for readers who want something fast, funny, and easy to finish in a single sitting. If your kid loves the goofy, action-packed tone of "The Bad Guys" or the tongue-in-cheek humor of the "Space Detectives" series, they'll feel right at home here. Parents will appreciate that the peril is light-hearted, the language is clean, and the whole thing reads like a comic strip in prose, which makes it a great way to hook reluctant readers. The short length under three thousand words means kids can blaze through it and feel a satisfying sense of accomplishment, while still getting a taste of clever space-opera ideas that spark curiosity about bigger sci-fi worlds.
