Whitewater Scrubs

In "Whitewater Scrubs" by Jamie McEwan, Clara joins an after-school kayaking club called the "Scrubs" where the members take up whitewater kayaking. Though Clara is usually one of the star athletes at her school, she finds herself scared when she faces the challenges of whitewater. The story takes place during spring and follows Clara as she deals with fear and discovers something about herself when she gets into trouble on the water. This is the second book in the series.
