Quick Summary

If you've got a kid who loves a good silly adventure with a twist of heart, this one's for them. Davey stumbles upon a blue-eyed frog who can actually talk and insists she's a princess under some kind of spell which is exactly the kind of wild discovery that makes kids' eyes go wide. The story feels genuinely funny and relatable, especially when Davey gets this itch to bring his amazing find to school to impress everyone, only to realize pretty quickly that actions have consequences (which, let's be honest, is a lesson a lot of us could use too). It's a quick read at around 11,000 words, so even reluctant readers can power through it without getting bogged down, but there's enough humor and heart to keep them smiling the whole time. Parents will appreciate that it sneaks in some solid lessons about honesty and thinking before you act, but it never feels preachy it just feels like a fun story. If your kid enjoyed something like "The Frog and Toad" books or stories where animals talk and cause mischief, they'll probably ask for this one again.
