Description

Something is wrong in the Enchanted Realm, but Ruby can't figure out what. Ruby wonders if the herd's newest member, Lucky, is to blame. Book #10

Quick Summary

If your kid's into horses and a touch of magic, this one's a winner. Lucky the foal joins Ruby's herd in the Enchanted Realm, but when things start going wrong in the magical kingdom, everyone's pointing fingers at the newcomer and that's when things get interesting. There's a sweet message about not judging people before you know the whole story, which lands nicely for kids in kindergarten through third grade without feeling preachy. At just over 2,000 words, it's short enough for newly independent readers but has enough mystery and adventure to keep them turning pages. It reminds me a bit of the "Magic Tree House" books in how it mixes a fun setting with a problem that needs solving, and it's perfect for kids who love animals or are just getting into chapter books. There's a little gentle suspense and some genuinely funny moments with Lucky being, well, lucky, but nothing too scary totally fine for bedtime reading.
