When Ellie pockets the cash, the siblings find themselves caught up in a strange and frightening series of events that seem to center on Dirk. Rumors of a mysterious old woman living in a lighthouse and a looming curse that lasts exactly twelve days add to the tension. As the days pass, the twins must untangle the truth behind the note before the promised nightmare becomes real.
