Description

Rolf is proud when his friend Mrs. Boggins calls him a good little wolf. When the Big Bad Wolf teases him, Rolf tries to prove he can be tough by howling at the moon and trying to blow down the Little Pig's house. He soon learns that being true to himself is better than trying to be something he's not.

Quick Summary

Rolf the wolf is thrilled when his friend Mrs. Boggins calls him a good little wolf, but the teasing from the Big Bad Wolf makes him feel he has to prove he can be just as scary. He ends up trying to howl at the moon and even attempts to blow down the Little Pig's house, with goofy, kid-approved results that turn classic fairy-tale moments into pure comedy. The story mixes gentle humor with a lighthearted twist on familiar characters, making it a great choice for early readers who enjoy a fresh take on old tales. Parents will appreciate that the scary bits stay playful rather than truly frightening, so it works well for kids who might be nervous about wolves. If your child likes stories where a underdog tries to fit in while still being themselves, they'll probably ask to read it again and again. A fun companion is Aaron Blabey's "The Bad Guys," which also follows a wolf trying to change his reputation in a hilariously fast-paced way.
