Description
The Wandering Wombles by Elisabeth Beresford follows the Wombles, a group of environmentally conscious creatures who live in a burrow beneath Wimbledon Common, where they collect and recycle human rubbish. When heavy lorries passing near the common cause the burrow to shake and become unsafe, Great Uncle Bulgaria orders the community to relocate. The young Wombles Orinoco and Bungo are tasked with finding a new home before the burrow collapses.
