Description

When a massive flood drowns their valley, the tiny Willow Clan abandons their tree home and sets sail on a makeshift oak-bough ark, hoping to find a new place to live. On the voyage they are accompanied by a loyal band of animal friends including a brave water-vole, a clever scout magpie, and a noisy flock of birds but a scheming trio from the Nightshade Clan is determined to thwart their journey. The appearance of three human children on the ark raises the stakes, forcing the Willow People to confront both natural dangers and their ancient foes. Their quest for sanctuary becomes a test of courage, teamwork, and ingenuity, and it marks the beginning of the Ark of the People series.
