Quick Summary
If your kid loves a good mystery wrapped in silliness, this one's a winner. Jay heads out on a Junior Rangers camping trip, and while his friends are all about the typical camp fun, he's dead set on proving Bigfoot is real with photographic evidence, no less. The story has that perfect balance of giggles and genuine suspense, especially when they discover a massive footprint that nobody can explain away. It's short enough for emerging readers to power through, but the chapter format gives it that "real book" feel that kids this age really respond to. Parents will appreciate that it celebrates curiosity and not giving up on your ideas, even when nobody's on your side yet. I'd definitely pair this with "The Magic Finger" by Roald Dahl or other funny adventure reads for kids who want more of that same energy.
