Quick Summary

If you love books where a group of kids is thrown into a magical training ground and must prove themselves, this one hits the mark. Ket and six other fosterlings are apprenticed to ancient druids, and as each new moon climbs the sky the pressure to stand out turns old friendships into tense rivalries, making every test feel like both a personal challenge and a group ordeal. The story mixes earthy druidic magic think potion-making, animal whispers, and forest riddles with a coming-of-age vibe that will keep readers laughing one moment and holding their breath the next. It's perfect for fans of The School for Good and Evil who want a more nature-focused twist on the "only one can be chosen" competition. Parents will appreciate that the scares are mild creepy woods and puzzling trials while the core themes of loyalty, resilience, and listening to nature come through clearly.
