The story follows Ben as he adjusts to city life and finds a connection to his cowboy dreams in an unexpected place.
Quick Summary
Who says you need wide-open prairies to be a cowboy when a city kid can ride horses on Tenth Avenue and discover that bravery looks different in different places. Kids will root for Ben as he trades his dusty boots for city streets but still finds ways to be a hero on his own terms. If your kid loves tender stories about fitting in somewhere new like "The One and Only Ivan" or "Ramona Quimby," they'll instantly connect with this Western-meets-urban tale. Ideal for early readers in grades 1-3 who are ready for a short, satisfying chapter book with heart.
