Quick Summary

If your kid's into superheroes, this is a quick, fun read that packs some surprising heart into just 1,400 words. The Fantastic Four find themselves dealing with Skrulls those shape-shifting aliens who can look like anyone disguised as kids, which makes for some tense moments when nobody knows who to trust. There's enough action to keep the pages turning, but it's also got that classic Marvel humor scattered throughout, so it never gets too heavy even when things get a little scary. At an AR level of 2.9, it's accessible for struggling or reluctant readers without feeling babyish, and the superhero theme makes it easy to sell to kids who might otherwise avoid reading. Parents will appreciate that it touches on themes of identity and what makes someone family, even if it's not heavy-handed about it. It's the kind of book a kid can finish in one sitting and feel pretty proud of themselves for completing, which is exactly what you want for building reading confidence.
